House Assistant/Cook Jobs in Pravan Villa Gainesville, VA

A mature couple, in Gainesville, Va., is seeking a proactive, House Assistant/Cook to perform the smooth day-to-day operations for them. Candidates must be able to make a comfortable commute. This is a new position for the residence and will be starting in January 2026. It is felt that the ideal candidate would be someone who is looking for a position that will allow them to tone down on stress related work. The residence is calm, warm, comfortable and very low key.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate with the couples’ daily activities and household needs.
• Prepare and lay out Breakfast and Lunch.
• Occasional preparing of dinner and serving it in early evening.
• Greeting guests and preparing guest accommodations.
• Serving meals for the occasional party of 10 to 30.
• Perform laundry, changing linens and very light housekeeping tasks.
• Occasionally, run errands or take them to doctor visits, grocery shopping.
• Maintain home organization and tidiness.
• Travel domestically with the couple as needed, including overnight stays.
• 15% of work time in travel with employers is required per year with overnight stay and covered expenses.

Requirements: 

• Prior experience working for households.
• Comfortable with hands-on housekeeping and residential support.
• Flexible and able to adapt to the couples’ changing needs and schedules.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and personal vehicle.
• Ability to travel with the family and work occasional overnights.
• Discreet, trustworthy, and professional by nature.
• Home cooking skills are a plus. The principals are vegetarian

Compensation: 

1099/ $50,000/annually: includes 15day allowance for (vacation-pto-days off)

Schedule and Location: 

·        5 days/week with flexibility as needed.

·        Live out position

·        Need to be able to commute locally to work.

·        Free to travel with couple when they do
