Chess Trainer / Coach – Chess Training Academy Jobs in Prosper, TX - $14 - $20 hourly

We are launching a Chess Training Academy focused on developing young talent and competitive players through structured coaching, disciplined practice, and modern training methods. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Chess Trainer who can help build the academy curriculum and mentor students at different skill levels.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chess coaching sessions for beginners, intermediate, and advanced students

• Design structured lesson plans, training modules, and practice schedules

• Analyze games and provide personalized feedback to students

• Prepare students for tournaments and competitive play

• Track student progress and recommend improvement plans

• Support academy growth through workshops, camps, and events

Requirements

• Strong chess background (FIDE/State rating preferred)

• Prior experience coaching students or running chess classes

• Solid understanding of openings, middlegame strategies, and endgames

• Ability to explain concepts clearly to different age groups

• Passion for teaching, mentoring, and building a chess culture

• Good communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Chess Coach or FIDE Trainer certification

• Experience training school-age children

• Tournament playing experience

• Comfortable with training tools and chess platforms
