Interview Tips for Freshers - Don't let the inexperience pull you down!
Freshers are often overlooked at job interviews for lack of job experience but that doesn’t mean you can’t punch above your weight. If you ace the interview with confidence, recruiters would be compelled to give you the opportunity ahead of more experienced candidates. Here are a few tips that could give you an extra few brownie points at the interview.
Make a compelling first impression
Interviews are as much about making a lasting impression as much as it is about showcasing your skillset to the employers. Your appearance, confidence, professionalism and the way you present yourself speak volumes about what you would be able to bring to the organization. Employers look for experience seeking for inter-personal skills and management abilities. If your outlook is able to give them the confidence that you have what it takes, they will not be looking any further.

Do your homework
Interviews, even walk-ins or the instant interviews at a job fair look for candidates who know their onions about their organization. If you are clueless about how the organization works or what the areas of focus right now, it sends out a negative vibe. On the other hand, if you are able to connect with the interviewers by engaging in a conversation about the company and its stand in the market, it will speak volumes of how interested you are and how much dedication you can bring to the organization if hired.

Highlight your skills
The basic motive of an interview is to find out what skills you possess; so make sure you highlight them at all costs without being too pushy about it. There is no point if you have all the skills it takes, but not able to express it to the interviewer. So make sure you showcase your skills in a manner related to the job role you are applying for.

Even when there is a lack of work experience, you can highlight your skills acquired through education and additional courses. You can also include the experience you have gained from projects and training in your interview talk.
Be a team playa!
Everybody loves a team player, corporate structure or not. Ask about the team you would be part of and the team lead and about how they see you fit into the team and progress in your career. Such question not only breaks the monotony of only the interviewer asking questions but will also get them to answer a few of your questions. This will not only boost your image as an energetic and inquisitive personality instead of giving a dreary outlook.

No matter how well you perform in an interview, rejections are a part and parcel of the game! Never be discouraged by interview rejections since it need not mean that you are not fit for the role but only that there was someone who outperformed you in some aspect. Try to identify and rectify and ace the next interview!
Take the next step towards your professional goals
