Often conventional methods deliver consistent ant better outputs when compared to the latest technology development. The trick lies in the strong adherence and most of the busy Human Resource Managers get accustomed to the time saving E-mail facility.

Though, there are other types of networking such as Facebook, G+, LinkedIn, Twitter and more, the HR’s feel that those are not conservatory. The percentage of networking through E-mails has been increased significantly in the past few years for the purpose of Job Search, Say the expert HR managers.

Having said about the prominence of E-mail networking in Job search let me skim through the process of searching jobs via E-mail,

Don’t forget to MIS

Remember, the people who would be reading your e-mail are the same handling hundreds of profiles every month or week. Hence it is very important that you make your e-mail readable. Don’t be too wordy and try to project unwanted details about you.

If you are approaching for the first time, make sure that you don’t ask for any further references lest they would think that you are trying to make more choices and not focused on their resource specifically.

The next important thing to MIS is your subject line. If you get the opportunity through a reference of someone, write on the subject that ‘I was referenced by so and so’. Similarly if you have any common point about your profile, lock the subject space with that. Because, your profile is the one among the millions and the best way to grab the quick attention is to include your common point on the subject. Therefore the first and foremost thing is to MIS (Make it Simple).

Relationship Building

All will be well, if the relationship is gelled. Create a good rapport with the person with whom you’re networking via E-mail. Rather than one way thinking, manipulate the communication by thinking from their point of view too. This gives a good impact of your personality to the HR Managers.

Have considerateness always and try to understand their needs as you communicate with the relevant people. Be wary about your limitations as well and ask for their word before you put something in front.

Do your homework, once you are set for a face to face interview after successful communication with the HR person. Just lend your help to the HR by suggesting some of your colleagues or friend’s profile incase if they are in need of any particular position.

OK! Are you still surfing through social networking sites for your Job search? Skip it at once and start E-mailing.
