Job Title: Route Delivery Driver (Non CDL) & Outbound Sales Associate

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and motivated individual to handle local delivery of fresh dosa batter and products from Vijay Home Foods to retail grocery stores while also driving outbound sales growth within the assigned territory. This dual role combines route-based delivery with store-level sales engagement, ensuring timely deliveries, strong retailer relationships, and increased order volumes.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the road, interacting with store owners, and contributing directly to revenue growth. Commercial license is not required for this role

Key Responsibilities:

Delivery & Route Operations

• Deliver fresh dosa batter and related products to assigned grocery stores as per delivery schedule
• Safely operate a delivery truck in compliance with all traffic laws and DOT regulations. 
• Deliver refrigerated food products on scheduled B2B routes, including overnight trips as and when applicable
• Load and unload deliveries using pallet jacks or hand trucks.
• Verify delivery accuracy, obtain proof of delivery (signatures where applicable), and handle occasional invoices, collections or payments.
• Maintain delivery records and communicate delays, issues, or discrepancies to dispatch or supervisors.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Provide courteous, professional service and represent the Vijay Home Foods brand to customers.
• Pickup, load and unload damaged goods, and customer returns, and complete necessary paperwork

Outbound Sales & Store Growth

• Actively engage with store owners and managers during deliveries to increase order size and frequency
• Take repeat orders and upsell additional SKUs or new products
• Identify low-selling stores and work to improve placement, visibility, and reorders
• Educate store staff on product benefits, shelf life, and handling
• Track competitor activity and share market feedback with the sales and marketing team
• Conduct regular market visits, store audits to ensure brand visibility and execution.
• Confidently present and educate customers on Vijay Home Foods product portfolio, USPs, usage ideas, and promotional opportunities.
• Collect product feedback, customer feedback and communicate the same to internal teams to foster sales.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Commercial Driving license is not required for this role
• 3+ years of experience in delivery, route sales, or FMCG / food distribution preferred
• Comfortable with basic sales conversations and order negotiations
• Ability to lift and move products (up to 40–50 lbs)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Familiarity with Indian grocery stores or food products is a plus
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
