Job Overview
Are you a motivated, detail-oriented individual with a passion for logistics and transportation? If so, GTS Management is looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Mahwah, NJ. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing our transportation operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of freight. This is a full-time, corp-corp position, offering a competitive wage of $20 - $25 per hour.
Job Roles & Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations
- Ensure premises, assets and communication ways are used effectively
- Utilize logistics IT to optimize procedures
- Recruit and coordinate logistics staff (e.g. truck drivers) according to availabilities and requirements
- Supervise orders and arrange stocking of raw materials and equipment to ensure they meet needs
- Communicate with suppliers, retailers, customers etc. to achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a valid work visa, and be a US citizen or green card holder. A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or a related field is required. A bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
Skills
- Proven experience as logistics coordinator
- Experience in customer service will be appreciated
- Knowledge of laws, regulations and ISO requirements
- Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
- Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Salary
This position offers a competitive hourly wage of $20 - $25, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
