Business Analyst Job Description

The IT Systems Analyst is responsible for analyzing, designing, implementing, and maintaining information systems to meet the organization’s business needs. This role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, developers, and IT teams to ensure system efficiency, integration, and scalability.

Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
Evaluate existing systems and processes to identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and test system enhancements or new solutions.
Perform root-cause analysis and resolve system-related issues promptly.
Document workflows, configurations, and integration points.
Support end-users by troubleshooting and providing technical assistance.
Coordinate system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
Ensure compliance with IT security and data protection policies.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
3–6 years of experience as a Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar IT role.
Strong knowledge of system integration, databases (SQL), and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Experience with ERP/CRM systems (Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, etc.) preferred.
Proficiency in requirement gathering, process mapping, and documentation tools.
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Knowledge of APIs and system automation tools.
Relevant certifications (CBAP, ITIL, or Salesforce Admin/BA) are a plus.
