Event Chef will oversee a team of cooks during prep and at assigned events, ensuring that every dish meets our standards for taste, presentation, and consistency. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, leadership, and professionalism to every service.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items with exceptional quality and presentation
Lead and supervise a team of cooks during event preparation and service
Ensure food is prepared according to standard recipes and portion guidelines
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Comply with all state and local health and food safety regulations
Follow all safety procedures when operating and cleaning kitchen equipment
Assist the Sous Chef and Executive Chef with training, prep lists, and quality control
Perform effectively under high-demand situations such as banquets and large events
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Lead Cook, Banquet Cook, or similar culinary leadership role
Strong cooking skills across multiple stations and cuisines
Ability to lead by example and communicate effectively with kitchen staff
Experience working in both restaurant and event/banquet environments preferred
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen best practices
Ability to multitask and maintain quality under pressure
