A Senior Tax Accountant is needed on a direct hire basis for a well-established CPA firm located in the Bay Area. The Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for managing and reviewing tax compliance and planning engagements for high-net worth individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and review federal and multi-state tax returns for:
High-net-worth individuals (1040)
Partnerships (1065)
Corporations (1120, 1120S)
Conduct tax research
Assist in managing client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor.
Mentor and review work of junior tax staff and interns.
Ensure compliance with applicable IRS and state tax regulations.
Communicate effectively with clients, partners, and team members.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s in Taxation a plus).
Minimum three years of experience in tax .
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws.
Experience with complex individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns.
Proficiency with tax software (e.g., Lacerte, ProSystem fx, GoSystem) and Excel.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
