This position provides high-quality clinical treatment, including psychosocial assessments, individual, group, and family therapy, treatment planning, and case management services.
Job Functions and Duties:
Demonstrate competency in the knowledge and skills necessary to maximize the best possible outcomes for each client
Provide age-appropriate care and possess the skills needed to assess and interpret data relative to the client’s age
Lead activities that address daily living skills and assist clients directly with self-care needs
Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions
Coordinate the development and implementation of treatment plans, comprehensive assessments, discharge plans, referrals, and reviews or updates within established time frames
Maintain clinical documentation in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with GenPsych’s policies
Participate in case conferences and scheduled treatment planning meetings, provide input, and be receptive to input from other members of the treatment team
Identify changes in clients’ clinical status and communicate those changes to the treatment team
Interact professionally and respectfully with clients, families, and staff while performing daily duties
Provide support to auxiliary staff, student interns, and volunteers
Coordinate discharge planning and clearly communicate plans to clients, their families, and all providers involved in care
Maintain standards of confidentiality
Adhere to GenPsych policies and procedures while maintaining a high standard of quality care
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in counseling psychology, social work, or a closely related field
New Jersey licensure in good standing (LAC, LSW, LPC, or LCSW required)
Experience providing adult therapy
Experience working with substance abuse populations preferred
Experience facilitating DBT group and individual sessions preferred
