Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within our practice, providing exceptional support to both patients and dental professionals. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient care.
Duties
Assist the dentist during various procedures, including general dentistry, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use.
Take and develop X-rays while adhering to safety protocols.
Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Manage patient records using dental software systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix or Epic.
Provide post-operative care instructions to patients and answer any questions they may have.
Assist in scheduling appointments and managing the front desk as needed.
Skills
Proficiency in general dentistry practices and procedures.
Experience with X-ray technology and safety measures.
Familiarity with four-handed dentistry techniques is preferred.
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is a plus.
Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy.
Experience with dental management systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix or Epic is beneficial.
Basic knowledge of endodontics and medical coding is advantageous.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
