Catering Sales Manager – Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Business Development
· Identify and pursue new catering business opportunities, including corporate events, weddings, and private parties.
· Develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients.
· Create customized catering proposals and pricing packages to meet client needs.
· Achieve or exceed sales targets and revenue goals for catering services.
2. Client Relationship Management
· Serve as the primary point of contact for clients from inquiry to event execution.
· Conduct site visits and tastings to present menu options and service offerings.
· Handle client concerns, special requests, and escalations professionally.
· Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction to encourage repeat business and referrals.
3. Event Planning & Coordination
· Collaborate with operations, kitchen, and service teams to ensure seamless event execution.
· Review event orders, timelines, and staffing needs.
· Monitor event quality and service standards to meet client expectations.
4. Marketing & Promotions
· Work with marketing to create promotional campaigns, packages, and seasonal offers.
· Attend industry networking events, trade shows, and community events to promote catering services.
· Maintain an updated database of leads, clients, and referral sources.
5. Team Leadership & Collaboration
· Train and support sales staff in catering-specific sales strategies.
· Coordinate with chefs, banquet managers, and service teams to ensure smooth operations.
· Participate in strategy meetings to align catering sales goals with overall business objectives.
6. Reporting & Analysis
· Track sales performance and generate reports on revenue, bookings, and client trends.
· Analyze competitor offerings and pricing to refine strategies.
· Prepare forecasts and budgets for the catering division.
